Stairs -- Mid June - Mid July

About mid-June we got our stair jacks back from the blacksmith. Kudos to Jim for figuring out how to build them. But with a flat platform and quarter-inch plywood templates, Mike Polly did some beautiful work.
Not that we all didn't have our hearts in our mouths while the crane lowered them between the garage structure and the wood-framed part of the house. Those 8-foot rafter overhangs caused a little bother, but we guided the operator between rafters and into place.
Here's a view from down below, where the stair jacks set.

All in all, a very smooth operation. We now have temporary treads and landings.
Since then we've got the insulation in the roof and it's ready for the roofer. We've defined the window spaces and will order those next week. The plumber has been on site for a week roughing in and the electrician is doing the boxing and we've started siding.
Below is a shot of the roof insulation going in.
